Catholic Singing Camp (a.k.a. Chant Camp)

A Summer Camp for Children and Teens

This Catholic Singing Camp (a.k.a. "Chant Camp") is a week of summer fun, where children and teens will grow in musical skill, confidence, and comradeship. They will also come away understanding that singing at Mass is a form of prayer — not a performance — and, that they can change the world by bringing those who hear them closer to God. In just one week, your children can learn to sing the Mass!  As Stanford Prof. William Mahrt has pointed out, music is a language, and languages are best learned young. Give the children in your family, neighborhood, parish or school the gift of learning to sing at Mass at our Catholic Singing Camp!

Catholic Singing Camp is open to all children and teens ages 7 to 17.

We are excited to welcome Mary Ann Carr-Wilson as the camp leader! She is with the Benedict XVI Institute and holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from SDSU.

The singing camp will be offered July 8th to 12th from 9:00am to 2:00pm in the parish hall.

The camp culminates in a sung Mass on July 14th at 10:00am when the children and teens will offer the singing for the Mass.

Though there is short snack break, children are asked to please bring a packed lunch each day.

The total cost for the camp is $85.00.
