NEW PARISH HALL

picture of the pastorST. PIUS X - CONSTRUCTION

For many years now, this parish has been a community of persevering believers with regards to the building of the new hall.  Well, “seeing is believing!” The asphalt is being taken up and the site being prepared for the buildings.  Praise be to God, who has made all this possible and who has given us the power to accomplish this task.  Let us not stop praying.  There is still much to be done to make this dream a reality.  Those men and women making this project a reality (Hearne Corporation, Lord Architecture, and Chuck Sanfilippo) still need God’s strength and inspiration to ensure a safe, efficient, and quality construction.  Pray for success and corporation for the project.

Now the question will be, when will the project be finished and the inconvenience ended? In order for everyone to be informed, here is the major milestone completion dates expected:

Site Work begins 07/07/10
1/3 parking & play area complete 09/03/10
School Fire sprinkler installation begins 07/27/10
School Fire sprinklers are installed 09/02/10
Footings for the School addition begins 08/05/10
School addition is completed 02/11/11
Footings & foundation of the Hall begins 07/30/10
Hall is completed 04/04/11
Footings for Office addition begins 08/02/10
Office addition completed 12/23/10
Demolition of Old Hall begins 04/19/11
Project completed 06/01/11

This tentative timeline is the basis for our scheduling and our expected end to the inconvenience.  Any difficulty now is simply growing pains for the rewards later.  Pray that what we are building today is representative of the spiritual work we are doing to build up the Kingdom of God.

Let Us Pray,

St. Joseph, you took on the responsibilities of God by laboring to care for Mary and Jesus, we humbly ask for your petition in constructing the dream of physical renewal here at Saint Pius X Parish.
Obtain for us the Grace and Blessing of Jesus
for the inspiration to make this construction and work
a symbol of our dedication and work in building God’s kingdom here in Chula Vista.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord, and not for yourselves. Remember that the Lord will reward you; you will receive what he has kept for his people. For Christ is the real master you serve.” (Colossians 3:23-24)

Saint Joseph the Worker,
Pray for us!
